Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Her father Sergey (d. 2019.) was an Ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Her 12 WTA singles wins comprise the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. The doubles play she plays is superb She has won majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both together with Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis superstar, she won WTA 1000s at Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Women's doubles only had four couples achieve this feat. Her ranking went from second to third on the world singles rankings at the end of August on the 23rd, 2021. Her best ranking was also achieved in the month of January of 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list during February of that same year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) played her as a coach for the duration of the season in 2019 and from 2018 to the closing. Dieter Kindlmann also served as the coach she had for a short period during the months of August through September 2020. She is being trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams is her role for a role model, closely followed by Maria Sharapova.
